Is Simple The Solution To The Worlds Problems?

June 3rd Daily Write Prompt: You are a superhero for the day — what’s your power? What do you do?

So I am a superhero for a day. I guess I need a costume. Let’s see… What about bright purple tights, fluorescent pink underwear on top and bright orange top with a big purple S on my chest? Wait, this is starting to sound familiar…

Anyway, on to the important part, the thing that kept me awake last night. What is the most impactful thing I can do with this newly given superpower?

Well, I knew the what. It was the how that kept me awake.

How do I use my powers to ensure all people can simply live? To have their needs met, to take care of their families, and be free to live in a way that allows them to be at their best? So that we can each contribute our unique superpowers to this world.

I guess since I have this superpower I could shoot all the food, water, energy, and resources, up into the sky and let it fall evening across the planet, across all people, without any access requirements. But would that really solve the problem in the long run? After my superpowers end, would we simply slip back into our human ways? Would these actions unintentionally cause harm?

Maybe the answer does not lie in the hands of a superhero but in the people. In their simple choices and daily actions.
