24 MONTHS OF TRYING TO GRAB THE ATTENTION OF GARYVEE

This are few things that I get acknowledged when 1st time I saw a profile with name @garyvee on Twitter , that time I was of 13 years old ( now 15 and half ). Then I search more and found #ASKGARYVEE , DAILYVEE and frequently watch them . Then I get know what the heck is this GaryVee.

That time( I was of 14 ) in my family ( nearly all over India )had a negativity about a social media platforms because cause of lots social media frauds and. different kinda things . Because of that I started with big mistake. And that was I opened an account with my fake name which I started using for contact Gary . (After 12 months I started opening social media with my real name , Yash )

That time I was looking for someone who followed by Gary on twitter , who can help me to reach Gary via Twitter DMs.So I started working . What I do is. start asking for their 2mins and after they agree to give me 2 min I ask them for a DM conversation ( through DM I can explain them what I want because cause it’s not possible to explain whole thing in just limit of 180 ).Some of them ignored me , blocked me and also may had been muted me on Twitter . But I tried again and again. Some are agree for DM conversation. But after asking. for help to contact Gary they also blocked me and ignored me ( I’m not angry of them who ignored me or blocked me because it’s hard to trust on someone totally unknown, which was I that time to others ).

So nearly half year past but it won’t work . After asking nearly 3k persons out 9k ,one day I got contact with a noble person name John Kapos ( @ChocolateJohnny ), also we have a small conversation . I asked him for help and he told me , “Gary will appreciate it more coming from you direct. If I say anything , Gary will say well this boy isn’t ready to talk to me. So think about it. You will miss out. JUST DO IT. DON’T LET OTHER PEOPLE DO YOUR WORK. ”

So after that I stop contacting people followed by Gary .Then started I analysing the Gary’s Twitter activity like trying figuring out. his tweets time , when does Gary hanging on Twitter , when he wakes , when sleeps ( it was hard determine Gary’s sleep cause he sleeps for very short time . ). I figured out that Gary’s daily activity of Twitter starts around 5:30 am , when he post a GM post .

Then I started stay online whenever their’s a chances to Gary gonna be online on Twitter . And my assumption was right.

The biggest problem was a timeline. Because I live in India. And GaryVee is in New York , there’s a 12 hours difference in both timelines. When here’s a day there’s nights and there’s day here’s night. But somehow it managed

Then I started doing that I should start doing it long time ago . I started sending tweets to Gary like every else . I started with sending replies to Gary’s tweets , because I figured out that Gary usually replies normal tweets. I stick with this plan about 1 and half month but it won’t work. Then I started sending Gary tweets to directly ask him for his attention .

Instead of using only Twitter I started using other social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Medium and much different .I started sending DMs to GaryVee through Snapchat, Instagram , send him some. emails but I didn’t get any kinda reply.

During this time Gary post a ultimate DAILYVEE , DAILYVEE 101 (edited by Andre )on his YouTube channel. It was awesome . So I decided to edit a video for Gary to grab his attention . I start working on it , I spent my whole summer vacation (two months) over it . In first month I watched all the DAILYVEE ‘s again , and downloaded best out of them to use for my video. Then I start editing. It takes my whole month. Because it was my first video. And also I was using a cheap video editing software, it always gets stop responding after using for half an hour . Finally video was completed in June of 2017 .Then. I mailed it to GaryVee. I wait for half and month for reply. But it don’t work . I realised that the video that I’ve created is SUCKS ! I. know it was my 1st video but I’ve edited it so badly .

Then next couple of months my mom close my Internet connection for 4 months . So I wasted my four months

Then again I came online on mid of November 2017. Then I again decided to edit a video about small entrepreneur journey of Gary. And video gets done in a month . On 31 of December I mailed it to Gary and also to Drock . I don’t get any reply from Gary but Drock replies me but I can’t able to cross him to reached to GaryVee.

Then I tried participate in #BranchwithGary . It was needed buy minimum 10 ‘Crushing It ’ but I had only one still I sent a bill copy for participate in it ( it was a stupid try but that time I don’t care about anything and just send it . )

In this period of 24 months my biggest aim was to grab the attention of GaryVee ( still same ) it’s kind like become aim of my life . In this period everyday I woke up with new idea to reached at GaryVee , put that idea in work , work hard for it .

In this period the big things that was bothering me was my fear and regret.A fear of what if it don’t work . This fear consumed my lot of time . Because whenever any new thing I try the fear pulls me back . And the regret of failure was always crushing my hope to reached at GaryVee. Because at the time of first 12 months. every failure hurts me , frustrates me a lot , gives me a regret .Also my patience gets cracked cause of these frustration. But I was always things that time( also now ) ‘The man I want to reach at him , that I watched every single day his videos, his Instagram, Facebook posts, his tweets that tells about a patience , a fear and a regret. And I’m giving up because of these. same things ’ This thought keep my patience alive and make me work hard and gives me strength to never quit , never give up. Overcome my fear .

Another mistake, another fear of me was get blocked by GaryVee on Twitter . That time I thought ‘if I send back to back same tweets to GaryVee, he’ll block me . But that was huge mistake that I was doing because GaryVee is not that kind of person who gets irritated by his fans. Because of that whenever I send him a new tweet I used to delete a recent tweet.

In this period I tried lots of childish , immature ways to reached at GaryVee. I think this one is one of it , I wrote this article . I know that something wrong in me and I’m trying to figure out. By trying by doing mistakes , a lot of mistakes and that’s how I’m. improving every day.
